  본 연구는 지식기반경제사회의 특성, 우리나라 전문대학 산학협력의 현행과 문제 그리고 주요국의 산학협력사례 분석을 바탕으로 향후 전문대학과 산업체의 협동 방향과 구체적인 산학협력 활성화 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

Junior vocational college focuses on vocational education for training and supplying industrial technicians to be required in industry. Small and middle- scale industry which doesn't have its own research institute needs assistances from colleges in order to solve difficult technical problems and develop new technology in industry. Therefore, it is abosolutely necessary for junior vocational college and industry to cooperate each other in the knowledge based economy.
 Based on this necessity, this study aimed to identify the policy directions and measures for mutual cooperation between junior vocational college and industry in the knowledge based economy.
 In order to achieve the purpose, this study conducted the review of literatures and data, the interview with related specialists and professors in junior voacational colleges, and conferences ofr gathering opinions on the identified policy directions and measures.
