The Study for “Better Education for Africa’s Rise” 3rd Phase (BEARⅢ) Implementation Plan
This study was conducted to participate in the 3rd stage project (BEARⅢ) of technical and vocational education in Africa by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training. To this end, it was conducted to review related documents, analyze basic data by region and country, prepare materials related to the Implementation Partner Agreement, and discuss working-level activities to confirm detailed activities.
The outline of the 1st stage project in which KRIVET participated was analyzed, the basic analysis of the target region and country for the 3rd stage project, the current status of development cooperation projects, and the results of the scoping mission were analyzed. In addition, UNESCO's procedures and contents related to the conclusion of the IPA were analyzed, and details for the conclusion of the IPA were reviewed.
As a result of the scoping mission conducted by the UNESCO Headquarters, the main business areas are sewing, fashion and cosmetics and beauty in C?te d'Ivoire, agriculture in Ghana, agriculture and agricultural processing and construction in Nigeria, and agriculture and tourism in Sierra Leone.
The IPA should be composed of content that satisfies the requirements of UNESCO's internal regulations and prepared for conclusion. To this end, derivation of clear project demand by project target country, analysis of related data, and organic cooperation with UNESCO headquarters and regional offices were suggested.
