It is found that higher skills level among adults corresponds to higher political efficacy as well as a higher frequency of participation in volunteer activities, but differences in levels of trust are yet to be proved. The political efficacy of the top group in language skills is 2.1 times as high as the bottom group in language skills. In contrast, the top group in language skills is 2.5 times more likely to participate in volunteer activities.
