고등학교 시절 부모와 진로에 대하여 일주일에 한 번 이상 이야기한 청년은 20대 초반부터 미래의 직업을 결정하고 계획을 수립하여 실천하는 비율이 약 40%로, 부모와 진로에 대해 이야기하지 않은 청년(약 20%)보다 두 배 높음. 
고등학교 시절 부모와 진로에 대하여 자주 이야기한 학생이 대학에 입학했을 때 소속 학과에 대한 만족도가 높음. 
고등학교 시절 부모와 진로에 대하여 자주 이야기한 경우, 20대 중반 사회인이 되었을 때 만족스러운 직장 생활을 하는 것으로 나타남.

About 40% of youth who discussed career with their parents at least once a week during high school year, had a career plan and practiced it from their early 20’s, which is twice as high as the proportion for those who did not discuss career issues with their parents(20%). 
Students who had frequent discussions with their parents during high school years tend to have a higher level of satisfaction with their major at university. 
It if found that those who had frequent discussions on career with their parents during high school years tend to have satisfactory working life when in their mid-20’s
