In PIAAC, Korean adults had the average level of numeracy among OECD countries, but they showed the lowest level of educational efficiency in the world, similar to the youth.
From the age cohort analysis using the PIAAC data, it is found that the level of numeracy is high among the generation for which tertiary education has become popular, suggesting that the popularization of higher education had positive impacts on learning capacity. .
