PIAAC에서 우리나라 성인의 수리력은 OECD 평균 수준이며, 교육효율성은 청소년과 마찬가지로 세계 최하위 수준임.
PIAAC 연령 코호트 분석결과, 고등교육 대중화 세대의 수리력은 세계 상위 수준으로 고등교육 대중화가 학습역량 향상에 긍정적으로 작용함.
국가 간 제도 및 정책 비교를 통한 고효율의 평생·직업교육 시스템의 도입이 필요함.

In PISA 2012, the academic achievement of Korean students in math was among the highest levels in the world but the educational efficiency was among the lowest. 
In PIAAC, Korean adults had the average level of numeracy among OECD countries, but they showed the lowest level of educational efficiency in the world, similar to the youth. 
From the age cohort analysis using the PIAAC data, it is found that the level of numeracy is high among the generation for which tertiary education has become popular, suggesting that the popularization of higher education had positive impacts on learning capacity. .
It is necessary to introduce efficient lifelong skills development system through international comparison of HRD policies
