9.7% of bullied female workers were extremely suicidal and felt a drive to kill the perpetrators, while 6.5% and 7.4% of bullied male workers were extremely suicidal and felt a drive to kill the perpetrators, respectively.
In a span of six months, the negative health effects from bullying made the victims and witnesses unable to report to work 4.39 times and 2.29 times, respectively, which is far higher than the average figure for other groups (1.75 times).
The victims sought medical help 2.56 times, witnesses 2.10 times, and other groups 1.68 times, while the average medical expenses for the six months stood at KRW 139,107 for the victims, KRW 118,575 for the witnesses, and KRW 114,894 for other groups.
