85.2% of college graduates responded that they drank, and 17.6% responded that they smoked. There was only a small gender gap regarding the extent of drinking, but the rate of smoking among men was 9.2 times higher than that among women.
Based on the regression analysis, if other conditions remained the same, with drinking more than 3?4 times a week, the GPA decreased by an average of 1.2 points, and with the smoking of more than 1?5 cigarettes, the GPA decreased by more than 2.3 points.
Therefore, universities and the government need a comprehensive approach to education and to creating an environment that helps reduce the frequency of drinking and helps students quit smoking.
