- 단순직을 포함한 저숙련직종 신규인력 양성에서, 전통적 기능 스킬(설치, 작동, 유지, 보수) 중심 교육훈련으로부터의 전환이 검토되어야 할 것임. 전통적 제조 관련 직종인 단순직에서 기초 스킬(읽기, 쓰기, 수리, 과학), 분석 스킬(판단, 분석, 평가), 학습 스킬(비판능력, 학습능력), 문제해결 스킬의 증대가 나타나고 있음.

The changes in trends related to jobs and skills offer insight on the demand for education and training.
- We extracted implications on education and training from the changes in skills trends using job information of the US.
- The results of the analysis of job information of the US were interpreted with the differences between the jobs of the US and Korea taken into consideration.
The analysis indicated that individual jobs display substantial differences from one another in terms of the emergence of new skills and changes in skills and that such differences must be taken into account when dealing with relevant education and training.
- In terms of reeducation, it is necessary to focus on reinforcing existing skills for low-skilled workers while tackling new skills for high-skilled workers.
- The shift from education and training centered on traditional functions and skills (installation, activation, maintenance, and repair) to a new paradigm should be reviewed for the cultivation of new workforces for low-skilled jobs including manual labor. The increase in the importance of basic skills (reading, writing, mathematics, and science), analytic skills (judgment, analysis, and assessment), learning skills (abilities to criticize and learn), and problem-solving skills is being witnessed in manual labor related to traditional manufacturing.
