2009년 글로벌금융위기 당시 졸업생은 상대적으로 낮은 노동시장 성과를 졸업 이후 6년까지 지속적으로 경험하였고, 코로나19 확산에 따른 경기침체기인 2020년 졸업생 역시 유사한 영향을 받게 될 것으로 예측됨.
경기침체기에 노동시장에 진입하는 청년들이 겪게 될 장기적인 부정적 효과를 완화하기 위하여, 인적자본 축적 기회 제공 및 노동시장 정보체계 효율성 향상 측면의 정책적 노력이 요구됨.

- Graduating class of 2009 Global Financial Crisis consistently experienced relatively low labor market accomplishments for six years after graduation. Graduating class of 2020 is also expected to experience similar trends as an aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- To mitigate the long-term negative effect that the youth face when entering the labor market in the economic downturn, policy efforts are needed to provide human capital accumulation opportunities and improve the labor market information system more efficiently.
