○ 자연과학·공학·제조 분야의 소득(4.24점→4.43점), 근무 여건(4.24점→4.31점), 고용안정(4.53점→4.59점), 직업가치(4.42점→4.46점) 등 업무 여건과 관련된 2020년의 기초 직업지표들이 3년 전인 2017년에 비해 상승함 (7점 척도).
○ 해당 분야의 직무 특성 중, 다양한 분야와의 융합성(4.56점→4.69점)은 3년 전에 비해 더 많이 요구되는 반면, 직무 관련 지식 및 기술 변화 속도(4.81점→4.70점)는 느려졌다고 인식함.
○ 해당 분야의 입직 요건에 대해서는 실무 경험(4.88점→5.11점)이 계속해서 가장 중요하게 인식되고 있으며, 3년 전에 비해 전공(3.99점→4.34점)과 자격증(4.06점→4.48점)의 중요성이 상당히 커진 것으로 나타남.
○ 자연과학·공학·제조 분야의 경우 직무 특성과 입직 요건 등의 변화를 고려하여, 업무 관련성과 현장성이 강화된 교육훈련을 구성 및 제공할 필요가 있음.

○ Basic job indicators such as income (4.24 points→4.43 points), working conditions (4.24 points→4.31 points), employment stability (4.53 points→4.59 points), occupational values (4.42 points→4.46 points) in the field of natural sciences/engineering/manufacturing have all increased in 3 years from 2017 (7 point scale).
○ More respondants perceive the demand for convergence with various subject areas (4.56 points→4.69 points) compared to 3 years ago, changes in job related knowledge and technological change have been perceived to have slowed over the 3 year period (4.81 points→4.70 points).
○ Practical experience continues to be the most important employment factor perceived in the field (4.88 points→5.11 points); the importance of major (3.99 points→4.34 points) and certification (4.06 points→4.48 points) have been recognized more significantly during the past 3 years.
○ Considering the changes in job functions and hiring requirements in the natural science/engineering/manufacturing field, vocational education and training programs need to be reinforced with job relevance and field application.
