○ For women, as the longer the duration of career interruptions, the employment rate was lower after training. The employment rate dropped from 62% for 1- to 2-year career interruptions to 42.9% for 7- to 8-year career interruptions.
○ Career interruptions have led to the deterioration of labor market skills. Thus, the longer the career interruptions, the lower was the employment rate after training. This has had a negative effect on employment performance.
○ Vocational training should be improved to help women who experience career interruptions to transition into the labor market. Counseling and early stage competency assessments should be improved to provide customized training that enables women to leverage their work experience.
