○ 자격이 4차 산업혁명 등 기술 변화에 대응하기 위해서는 산업계의 95% 이상이 역량기반 자격검정의 필요성을 강조함. 이를 위해 종합적인 문제해결능력에 대한 검증이 이루어져야 하지만, 현재 문항 유형은 객관식 문항, 특히 지식 중심의 단순 암기형 문항이 약 40% 비중으로 매우 높음.
○ 일과 연계된 사례 중심의 문제해결형 문항 출제 비중이 낮은 이유는 많은 자격이 아직도 검정과목 기반으로 출제하고 있기 때문임.
○ 산업계의 83.5%는 자격검정의 디지털화를 강조하나, 현재 검정의 약 83%는 PBT1)(종이 기반 시험)임. 일부 CBT2)(컴퓨터 기반 시험)가 도입되었지만 주로 PBT의 암기형 문장을 PC에 올려놓은 수준임.
○ 문제해결형 문항이 개발될 수 있는 검정 인프라 개선과 정확한 역량 측정을 위한 CBT 기반 시뮬레이션 평가 등 검정의 디지털화가 필요함.

○ More than 95% of industry specialists stressed the need for competency-based examinations to be adapted to reflect technological change, such as that related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Comprehensive problem-solving examinations should be offered. However, the present format is multiple-choice, with a focus (40% of the questions) on the memorization of basic information.
○ The reason for the low proportion of work-related problem-solving questions is the use of subject-based examinations.
○ The industry has emphasized the digitization of qualification examinations. However, approximately 83% are currently paper-based tests (PBTs). Some computer-based tests (CBTs) have been developed. However, the memorization questions in the PBTs have been transferred to the CBTs.
○ The digitization of examinations, such as computer-based simulation evaluations, is necessary for accurate evaluations of competencies. Improvements in the examination infrastructure are necessary to facilitate the inclusion of problem-solving questions.
