○ International graduate students who landed a job in Korea, in particular those who studied at graduate schools in the Seoul metropolitan area, perceived that the level of pathways information provided by Korean graduate schools, counseling, and pathways specialists were not sufficient (2.51-2.90 points on average on a 5-point scale).
○ They positively perceived the value of master's and doctoral degrees awarded by Korean graduate schools (3 points or higher on average). Compared to those with master's degrees, doctoral degree holders had a more positive perception of domestic degrees, while there was little difference in perception between graduates of graduate schools in and outside of the Seoul metropolitan area.
○ In order to continuously attract competent foreign human resources to graduate schools in Korea, it is important for higher education institutions to reflect the educational needs of international students. In particular, it is necessary to expand pathways educational programs and hire more staff to support students for their smooth transition from school into the labor market.
