대학은 미래사회변화에 대응하기 위하여 지속 가능한 진로 지원체제를 구축하는 다양한 노력을 경주하고 있으며, 그 중 진로탐색학점제는 점차 다변화되는 대학생의 다양한 진로 경로와 지원 요구에 대응할 수 있는 실천적 모델로 주목받고 있음. ‘대학 진로교육 현황조사’ 자료를 분석한 결과, 진로탐색학점제를 운영하는 대학의 비율이 2017년 2.5%에서 2022년 13.4%로 크게 증가하였으며, 진로탐색학점제 운영은 학생의 대학 만족도의 평균을 약 2.4% 증가시키는 것으로 나타남. 대학 진로탐색학점제를 확산하기 위하여 국가 고등교육 정책 내 진로탐색학점제 도입 및 운영을 권고하고 있으나, 보다 적극적인 정책적 노력이 요구됨.

Universities strive to cope with expected social changes through various endeavors, such as creating sustainable career support systems. A case in point is the career exploration credit system, which is drawing attention as a practical model that can respond to ever-more diversified career paths of students and their demand for support. According to our analysis of the survey on career education at universities, the ratio of universities operating the career exploration credit system jumped from 2.5% in 2017 to 13.4% in 2022 and it appeared the career exploration credit system improved students' satisfaction with school by 2.4% on average. While the government recommends the introduction and operation of the career exploration credit system through higher education policies, more active policy efforts are required to promote the system.
