The purpose of this study was 1) to identify the high school students' career decision related variables, and 2) to construct a strutural equation model on high school students' career decision making, and 3) to examine fit of a structural equation model on high school students' career decision making using LISREL.
The sample of this study was Jeong(2000)'s raw data which included 1,165 high school students. The results demonstrated the following points : 1) This study find evidence if hypothesis 1 through hypothesis 11 except hypothesis 10. 2) There were signigicant direct effects of career information on career decision level. 3) There were significant direct effects of self confident level on career decision level. 4) There were significant direct effects of anxiety about self career on career decision level. 5) There were not signigicant direct effects of insecurity about career decision making on career decision level. 6) There were signigicant direct effects of career decision level on carer preparation behavior level.
Based on the results of this study, the fingings suggest that 1) researchers/practitioners in career guidance institutes should concentrate on developing career informarions, and 2) they should try ti deliver career informations to high school students. 3) Career guidance program should support high school students to develop self confidence on career decision and to cope with anxiety about self career. Also the finding suggest that 4) Ministry of education and human resources development should support public administrative, and financial needs of career guidance for high school students.
