This study attempts to analysis the current situations of foreign internship programs as a method to solve youth unemployment. This study is, in terms of solving youth unemployment through foreign internship, ultimately to design concrete action plans for substantial educational effect and employment support through the analysis of current foreign internship programs by institutions and universities. Based on the analysis, it is tried to suggest action plans for foreign internship programs in China, America, etc, especially through foreign Korean entrepreneurs networks.
This study suggests the necessity of internship program utilizing foreign Korean-entrepreneurs networks, the necessity of human network database for Korean businessmen in foreign countries, and the detailed process for the programs. Therefore what suggested here is the concrete methodology to process foreign internship program at each stage in the course of successful program.
The core of foreign internship program is to search companies for internship, and to link with employment after internship period. It is very difficult for the institutions in charge of internship program to find those companies. The Korean-entrepreneur networks would be a desirable mean to overcome the obstacle, and the prerequisite is to have good human network database of Korean businessmen in foreign countries. The database allows internship programs to overcome distance limitation, and regular mutual communication through web-portal enables publicity and effective management of demand and supply. The ultimate pupose of this study is to activate foreign internship programs utilizing foreign Koran entrepreneur. For the success of internship programs, it is also required to improve substantiality of domestic and locale education for internship.
