This research aimed to investigate industrial high school students' achievement motivation and related factors in the educational environment by undertaking survey and literature review.
In establishing research problems, the educational environment was defined in terms of 5 factors and 17 items, including relationship with fellow students, relationship with teachers, school environment, club activity, and the channel or the degree of external reinforcement. According to the result of factor analysis, these 6 factors and 17 items were converged to 6 components.
In the analysis of these components, they were named as follows: the first component was designated as the factor for relationship with fellow students; the second and the fourth components were designated as factors of external reinforcement; the third component was called the relationship with teachers; the firth component was called the school environment factor; and the sixth component was designated as the club activity factor. Accordingly, the factors in the educational environment which influenced achievement motivation of industrial high school students were the relationship with fellows students, the relationship with teachers, school environment, club activity, and the channel or the degree of external reinforcement.
