The purpose of this research was to find the latent trajectory classes for developmental changes of the job decision in adolescence and compare the tendency of college students’ career worry following the results and also examine influential career properties of high school students for the latent classes. In order to resolve our research question, we performed the research using Korean Education and Employment Panel(KEEP) 2004-2008 surveys. We applied the Latent Class Growth Analysis(LCGA) and Growth Mixture Models(GMM) with known class in longitudinal studies, and applied the Decision Tree Analysis(DTA) in cross-sectional studies.
First, our studies’ results found the four latent trajectory classes(decision class, confusion class, weakening class, indecision class) for the job decision change. Second, in case of students’ career worry, confusion class had the highest initial average(.897, p<.000) and weakening class had the highest linear change rate(.448, p<.000) significantly. Third, among career properties of high school students, gender, indecision reason, aptitude recognition, and career education satisfaction influenced prediction for the latent classes significantly.
