This study aims to identify career consultants’ job competency for high school students who want to get a job in specialized high school. To do this, career consultants’ job competency were developed throughout panel workshop, FGI, BEI, expert reviews and surveys. Then, the competency gaps between current and future needs were investigated. Also, this study identified the perception differences on career consultants’ job competency between career consultants and high school teachers in specialized high school. Study results show a competency model constructed 10 job competency including understanding recruiting trends, analyzing corporate needs, facilitating adapting job, developing job seeking technique, motivating getting a job, planning and implementing job supporting programs, developing and managing corporations, building trust in schools. Based on this research, job training, development of job manuals and constructing network systems were discussed.
