This study aims at analyzing the relationship between the workers of the Big-Five personality traits and self-efficacy and job satisfaction. For this purpose, Structural Equation Modeling analysis was conducted on 1,121 individuals who are currently working with data provided by Korean Education & Employment Panel(KEEP) of Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training(KRIVET).
As a result, for Big-Five personality traits of workers, conscientiousness, neuroticism, extraversion, and openness have significant effects on self-efficacy and only neuroticism has significant effects on job-satisfaction. In addition, self-efficacy is also identified to have significant effects on job-satisfaction. These results imply that personal and psychological factors should be considered important to improve job-satisfaction.
Therefore, it is necessary that self-efficacy enhancement program, emotional support program, or various counselling and psychology education program should be implemented as a vocational education & training to improve job-satisfaction.
