  본 연구는 1차～11차 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 원자료를 연결하여 교육-고용 이력 데이터를 구축하고 그 활용 방법을 제시하는 기술적 연구(technical study)이다. 구축한 이력 데이터에 있는 status_history 변수는 고등교육 진학여부, 재학 중인 학교 및 최종학력 이후 취업여부 정보가 모두 포함되어 있다. 또 다른 변수인 job_history 변수는 취업한 표본에 대해 일자리 형태 및 근무형태를 연결한 정보를 담고 있다. 이와 같은 교육-고용 이력 데이터를 이용하면 중ㆍ고등학생들의 대학졸업 후 노동시장 진출까지의 경로를 범주화하여 구분할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한 개별 연구자들이 이력 데이터에 포함된 변수와 자신의 관심 변수를 병합하여 연구용 데이터를 손쉽게 만들 수 있다. 교육-고용 데이터의 활용 방법을 예시적으로 보여주기 위해 고3 코호트와 중3 코호트의 노동시장 진출 이력을 탐색적 연구방법을 통해 비교 분석한다. KEEP 관련 연구자들을 위해 저자들이 구축한 이력 데이터를 활용하는 방법을 포함하는 Stata 코딩을 부록에서 제시한다.

  This study aims to construct and provide the education-employment history data using Korean Education & Employment Panel (KEEP)'s 1st-11th waves. Among the generated variables, "status-history" contains the higher education path, college/ university name, and current employment status after the final education. And, the job-history variable for employed persons includes job type along with working status. Using this data set, we can distinguish and categorize the labor market participation history of middle and high school students in the early waves. Through exploratory research methods, we can compare labor market participation and performance of the two cohorts (middle and high-school students). In the Appendix, we offer detailed STATA codes describing how to utilize this history data for other related researches.
