The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences and influences of female workers by their job status and to promote future research on career and occupation of women. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, female workers show differences according to their job status. In terms of personal factors, the average age was higher in the ascending order of wage workers, non-wage workers, and special-type workers. In the occupational factors, the monthly average income of special-type workers (75.95million won) was significantly lower than that of the other groups, but their working hours were longer than those of wage workers. As for the value factor, wage workers attached more importance on women’s gender equality, while special-type workers on women with traditional roles. Job satisfaction and work-family balance were higher in wage workers. Second, regarding the factors affecting the job status of women workers, non-wage workers were older, married, and worked longer hours than wage workers. Compared with wage workers, special type workers were older, had lower average monthly income, and had more traditional values for women. This study suggests that women are making career development according to their job status, which suggests the approach and countermeasures of lifelong according to their job status.
