본 연구는 한국교육고용패널Ⅱ(KEEPⅡ) 1차와 2차 데이터를 사용하여 고등학생의 교과적성이 진로결정수준에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 확인하였다. 청소년기를 마무리하고 성인기로 이행하는 고등학생의 경우 교과를 중심으로 학교학습을 수행하기 때문에 각 영역의 교과를 진로결정수준과 인과관계 요인으로 설정하여 분석하였다. 또한 청소년기 고등학생은 학업활동에 대부분의 시간을 보내고 있으나, 자아정체감 형성이라는 발달과업을 수행해야 하는 중요한 시기이기도 하다. 따라서 진로결정수준이 학업활동과 자아정체감 그리고 학업성적과 어떤 인과관계가 있는지 또한 다각적으로 검증하고자 한다. 
분석 표본은 KEEPⅡ 고등학교 2학년 패널이며, 3학년인 2차까지 탈락하지 않고 응답한 4,688명(남학생 2,433명, 여학생 2,255명)이 선정되었다. 검증 방법은 진로결정수준을 최종 종속변인으로 한 구조방정식모형을 설정하여 인과관계를 확인하였다. 분석결과 교과적성은 진로결정수준에 중요한 영향을 미치지 않으며, 진로활동과 자아정체감 그리고 학업성적이 진로결정수준에 결정적 영향요인이라는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과는 청소년기 학업활동과 발달과업 그리고 진로결정수준 간 인과관계를 확인할 수 있으며, 이는 건강한 성인기로 이행하는데 필요한 진로지도 정보로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate influences on level of career decision making on subjects aptitude in high school students by using a data from the Korean Education Employment Panel(KEEP)Ⅱ. The analysis examines how affects career decision-making levels for high school students who are preparing for the transition to adolescence and adulthood. In particular, high school students spend a considerable amount of time on academic activities centered on subjects, so subjects aptitude should be an important factor in career decision-making. In addition, adolescents are also important periods to build their self-identity. Therefore, The verify the causal relationship between career decision level and self-identity is to important.
The analytical method set up the structural equation model and confirm the causal relationship using LISREL program. As a result, it was confirm that subjects aptitude do not have a significant effect on the level of career decision-making, and that career activities, self-identity and academic achievement was the decisive factors on the level of career decision-making. 
The results of this study can be used to determine the causal relationship between academic activities and developmental tasks, which are necessary for the transition to healthy adulthood.
