After selecting the jobs recognized by late adolescents and confirming their validity, this study formulated their congnitive occupational map and examined types of gender roles and gender differences according to status level. A total of 384 cases were used for the final analysis through the distribution of questionnaires on selected occupations to late adolescents. Based on the collected data, the content validity ratio (CVR), frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and t-test were conducted using Excel 2019 and SPSS 18.0. This research may be summarized as follows: First, jobs were selected based on previous studies, and 34 jobs were finally derived through validity verification. Second, the late adolescents’ job perception was found to be neutral, and the awareness level of status was high. In addition, there were differences by gender in 16 occupations concerning the types of gender roles, and differences by gender in three occupations existed in relation to the status level. Third, with regard to the gender role type, the occupation in the real domain (R) was perceived as the most masculine, and as for the status level, the occupation in the customary domain (C) was the highest. Moreover, in terms of the career development aspect, there was a change in their perception of gender role type and status level during the late adolescent period (approximately 19?24 years old) from mid-adolescents (about 15?18 years old). Based on the above results, suggestions and implications for subsequent studies were discussed.
