This study aimed to deriving implications through discovering potential topics for overseas employability research using the topic modeling. As a result of analyzing the abstracts of 1,192 employability research using Netminer 4.0, study, skill, gradate, employment, and university were high-frequency keywords. As the main topics of employability research, four were extracted. topic 1 is employability in organizations, topic 2 is employability in policies, topic 3 is employability in educational institutions and topic 4 is employability for specific groups. Since a topic regarding individual level, which was importantly suggested in former research is not included, research on employability at the individual level, especially from a psychological perspective, needs to be expanded. The number of employability research has exploded since 2017, and the proportion of employability research in educational institutions which led to this trend is continuously decreasing, while employability research in policies and organizations is increasing. The implications for Korean employability research are, first, it is necessary to conduct more research on employability for quantitative growth and more attention is needed on employability in policies and for specific groups as insufficient research areas. Second, employability research in educational institutions, which is a major topic in Korea, needs to adopt various perspectives such as the labor market and curriculum.
