이 연구는 최근 인구 고령화라는 전례 없는 인구 통계학적 변화에 직면해 있는 현실에서 정부의  직업교육훈련이 여성 고령층 경제활동에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 인적자본이론의 고찰을 통해 직업교육훈련이 여성 고령자의 근로희망 여부와 희망 임금수준에 미치는 영향에 대한 가설을 설정하고, 로지스틱(Logistic) 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 직업훈련이 고령자 경제활동에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여, 2021년 경제활동인구조사 고령층 부가조사 데이터(전체표본 22,764명)를 사용하였다. 분석결과, 직업훈련경험이 고령층의 근로희망 여부와 희망 임금수준을 높이는데 중요한 역할을 한다는 사실을 발견하였고, 직업교육훈련의 효과는 남성 고령자보다 여성 고령자에 있어서 더 크다는 사실을 발견하였다. 이 연구를 통해 고령층, 특히 여성 고령층 인구의 경제활동을 촉진시키고, 노동시장에서의 지위를 높이기 위해서는 직업교육훈련 등 적극적인 고용정책이 유의미하다는 정책적 시사점을 발견하였다. 

This study empirically analyzed the impact of the government's vocational education and training on the economic activities of older women amidst recent unprecedented demographic changes, such as increased population aging. Hypotheses were established regarding the effects of vocational education and training on the job prospects and desired wage levels of older women by considering human and social capital theories, and a logistic regression analysis was performed. This study used data from the 2021 Economically Active Population Survey for the elderly (total sample of 22,764 people)  to analyze the effect of vocational training on the economic activity of the elderly. The analysis found that vocational training experience plays an important role in raising the level of job hope and desired wages of the elderly and that the effect of vocational education and training was more significant for older females than older males. This study found that active employment policies, such as vocational education and training, are meaningful in promoting the economic activity of the elderly, especially the elderly female population, and raising their position in the labor market.
