This study analyzed the effectiveness of blind recruitment introduced in 2017. We explored whether the introduction of blind recruitment changed the effects of graduation from universities in Seoul on employment in the public and private sectors. For the analysis, we used a multinomial logistic regression model with GOMS data (from 2012GOMS to 2019GOMS) provided by the Korea Employment Information Service. According to the analysis, the introduction of blind recruitment significantly reduced the influence of university background on employment in the public sector. However, this reduction was inconsistent. After introducing blind recruitment, the impact of graduation from universities in Seoul decreased only for males. Taken together, the effectiveness of blind recruitment is inconsistent. Therefore, the system must be changed to make its influence more consistent across genders.
