본 연구는 청소년-성인 이행기의 경력경로를 직업교육훈련 연계를 중심으로 유형화한 뒤, 노동시장 성과를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 분석방법은 경력경로의 유형분석에는 최적일치법을 활용한 배열분석과 군집분석을, 노동시장 성과 분석에는 유형별 일원분산분석을 수행하였다. 분석자료로는 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 1차 중학교 3학년 패널 10년치 자료(2006-2015년) 및 2007년 추가패널과 함께, 추가적인 성과분석을 위해 2019년에 실시한 추적조사를 사용하였다. 
분석결과, 경력경로 유형은 4개 군집으로 분류되었으며, 고교-대학 유형과 경제활동의 양상이 분절화되어 있음을 확인하였다. 2015년 노동시장 성과에서는 ‘연계저조형’이 전반적으로 성과가 우수하였으나, 2019년 추적조사에서는 취업률 및 성과지표의 상대적 하락이 나타났다. ‘연계유지형’과 ‘성인기참여지속형’은 취업 초기에는 성과가 부진하였으나, 2019년에서 다른 군집 수준으로 개선된 것으로 보인다. ‘성인기참여상승형’은 대학 재학 당시에만 성과지표가 일시적으로 낮았고, 이후 조사에서는 가장 높은 성과를 보였다. 이중 성과가 개선된 군집들의 성인기 직업교육훈련 참여비율이 상승하는 추이가 발견되어 노동시장 성과와의 관련성이 잠정적으로 존재하는 것으로 보인다. 
분석결과를 바탕으로, 지식산업기반 사회로의 전환과정과 분절화된 노동시장 구조에서, 전반적인 직업교육훈련 연계 관련 정책의 확대와 더불어 직업고-전문대 졸업자 중 이른 정규직 취업자 대상 정책의 점검을 제언하였다.

This study aims to analyze the career trajectories of youth-adult transitions with a focus on vocational education and training (VET) linkages. The methods used include sequence analysis with optimal matching, cluster analysis for exploring career trajectories, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) by type to analyze labor market performance. Ten years (2006-2015) of data from KEEP1 (Korean Education & Employment Panel 1) are used; for additional analysis of performance, follow-up data conducted in 2019 were utilized. 
The results revealed four clusters of career trajectories, indicating nested segmentation between high school college types and patterns of economic participation. Regarding labor market performance, the “lowering participation linkage” cluster generally exhibited higher performance than the others in 2015. 
Based on these findings, policy recommendations are made to expand overall VET policies and encourage VET participation within the context of transitioning into a knowledge-based society and a segmented labor market structure.
