본 연구는 중등 일반교원의 진로교육 직무 및 교육요구도를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해, 중등 일반교원을 대상으로 데이컴(Developing A CurriculUM, 이하 DACUM) 직무분석을 통해 중등 일반교원의 진로교육 직무모형을 도출했으며 외부 전문가 검토를 통해 타당성을 확보하였다. 이후, 중등 일반교원 323명을 대상으로 진행한 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 Borich 교육요구도 분석과 Locus for Focus 분석을 실시하여 중등 일반교원 전체 및 학교급 별 교육요구도를 도출하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등 일반교원 진로교육 직무모형은 5개의 책무와 22개의 과업으로 구성된다. 둘째, 중등 일반교원 전체에서 가장 높은 교육요구도를 보인 책무는 교과연계 진로체험이었으며, 과업은 학부모 진로상담 운영으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 학교급에 따른 중등 일반교원의 진로교육 과업 별 교육요구도는 차이가 존재했다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 도출한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등교원 및 특수학교 교원 등 중등 일반교원 외의 집단을 대상으로 진로교육 직무와 관련된 추가적인 연구가 수행되어야 한다. 둘째, 중등 일반교원의 진로교육 직무수행 성과와 관련된 연구가 수행되어야 한다. 셋째, 연구결과를 바탕으로 중등 일반교원 진로교육 연수 프로그램을 개발해야 한다. 넷째, 진로교육 활성화를 위한 학교 구성원 간 협력체계를 구축해야 한다.

The purpose of this study was to derive a job model and analyze the educational needs of secondary school teachers. To achieved this objective, DACUM was conducted to draw a job model, and related experts verified the validity of the job model. Based on the results of a survey of secondary school teachers, Borich and Locus for Focus method was operated to analyze the educational needs. The results through this study were as follows. First, the job model conssits of 5 duties and 22 tasks. Second, secondary school teachers had high educational needs concerning the subject-linked career experience duty and operation of parental career counseling task. Third, there was a difference in the educational needs according to the secondary school level. The implications of this study are as follows: First, it is necessary to conduct a study on career education job of primary and special school teachers. Second, it is necessary to operate a research on the performance of career education. Third, it is necessary to make a training program specialized in career education for secondary school teachers. Fourth, it is necessary to establish a cooperation system among teachers to vitalize career education.
